V-Day reactions

As I’ve briefly mentioned in a previous post, last Saturday a rally named V-Day took place in hundreds of cities in Italy. Media in Italy almost ignored the event before it happened, maybe just hoping it would be a flop and go away, maybe also to avoid letting people know it was going to be. Since Saturday, some reactions have been seen, mainly interviews with politicians that defend themselves, saying that people do not understand politics. They know better than anyone of us. Yes, like that.

This International Herald Tribune’s article may give you an idea of the general scenario we face here.

Man, I’m really fed up with this political class, many of us are.

It’s likely to be a class we deserve to have, but wouldn’t it be nice to get rid of them all? Always the same faces around, just swapping seats. Just caring about getting another seat next time. We just need to try for something better…

V-Day proposal is definitely not perfect, has several downside. But at least it would produce some change.
