As everybody knows from internet, television and magazines, this month marked the 50th anniversary of the pioneering Sputnik 1 mission, that put in orbit the first artificial satellite.

But the BBC boldly goes where no one has gone before: it features and article on how to build your own Sputnik.

Man, that’s great! A pity the author does not also explain how to place it on orbit on your own…
