Microsoft Tax: is something changing in Italy?

Posted on May 13th, 2008 in Freedom & Rights, Italy by michele
As I had occasion to discuss quite at length in a previous post, buying a new computer without paying a Microsoft license is nearly impossible. You’re going to pay for that software even if you’re not going to use it.
It’s theoretically possible to get your money back by not accepting the license. In practice very few people around got to see any of their money back, and only after putting a lot of their own time and effort.

The question is so simple to be almost silly: why should I pay and then ask for my money back if I don’t want that stuff? Something may be starting to change in Italy, too, as a consumers association named ADUC is now considering a class action on the issue. Class actions are something pretty new in Italian legislation, let’s see if something good comes out of it.

parlarsi, capirsi, amarsi.

Star Trekkin’ - The Firm

On our way back from our latest hiking trip I had my friends listen to this funny song by The Firm, and I promised to show them the video as well… It’s good for both trekkers and Star Trek fans… :-D

Believe it or not, looks like the song spent two weeks at number one in the UK and a total of nine weeks in the UK Top 40…

If you like to sing , here you can find the lyrics here.
