Best hiker around. Well, almost

New trip on the Apennine Mountains, this time in the part between Modena and Pistoia counties. The view was magnificent, especially from the higher point of Mount Spigolino (1827m).

It was a steep climb to Mount Spigolino, and you can see how I managed to be still full of energy when I reached the top :-D

Ops… I Did It Again

Well no, I’m not a Britney Spears fan all of a sudden (not that desperate yet).

Yesterday I joined again a friend in a hiking excursion, this time in the area including Mount Falterona. The trip has not been too heavy despite us being around for 7 hours, I just had a knee complaining of too much downhill path in the last part :-)

Mount Falco and Mount Falterona are both higher than 1600 meters, and as you can see we even found some (slippery!) snow still resisting the spring warmth.

Some good outdoor activity yesterday, back to hiking after several years since my last excursion… I joined a friend and his group of crazy geocachers in an expedition to plant a few geocaches.

I’m definitely not at the top of the condition, so the trip has been somehow demanding… but a great pleasure… I’ll need to be in better shape next time, as they often hunt out of the trail :-)
